ZHOU Jiawen

Zhou Jiawen is a lecturer in New Media and Online Communication at the School of Journalism and Communication at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), and also serves as associate editor in chief for the English official website of SISU（ http://en.shisu.edu.cn/ ）. She once obtained the first-class master's degree in Web journalism from the University of Sheffield, UK. She has published a book titled Interactive News Research and has written a textbook titled International New Media Product Design and Project Management. She has received the third prize of the university-level excellent award for scientific research achievement. She has written a series of articles for a column Media Training Camp of the WeChat official account of a CSSCI journal. Her paper “Exploration of Practical Teaching Mode in the Integrated Media Era” was published in a journal called Research on Foreign Language Higher Education. Her several research reports, including Product Requirements Document of CGTN Multilingual Website, have been accepted by CGTN. She is responsible for one university-level teaching reform project and one self-compiled teaching material project, with her multiple courses supported by the university curriculum construction fund. She has won various university-level teaching awards such as the Excellent Case of Teaching Reform and Excellent Teaching Practice Award. She has organized students to go to Prague, Czech Republic for new media skills training and local reporting practice, and guided them to complete three English reports that were published in the Shanghai Daily.
