The Broadcasting Program
The Broadcasting Program was founded in 2001. In 2014, it was selected as Outstanding Journalism and Communication Talents Cultivation Base of Shanghai (International Type). In 2017, based on this program, Special Committee of International Communication of Film and Television under the Chinese Collegial Association for Visual Art was established in SISU. In 2021, the program was approved as a first-class undergraduate program in Shanghai. The department has made great efforts to meet the strategic needs of the nation to improve international communication capacity, with emphasis on the use of audiovisual language to tell Chinese stories, committed to cultivating professional and devoted talents in international radio, television, as well as online audiovisual communication. Specifically, we aim to cultivate journalist-anchorperson who is proficient in English, documentary filmmakers with global vision, program producers with Internet thinking, and high-end talents for international communication research of film and television.
